Цифровая часть оснащена SuperNATURAL - технологией с подбором лучших эффектов. Генераторы синтезатора JD-XA могут работать как интерактивно, так и независимо. Такое их свойство обеспечивает максимально гибкую основу для саунд-дизайна, а также живых выступлений и студийной работы.
Одновременное использование цифровой и аналоговой части, обработка аналоговыми фильтрами цифровых волновых форм поможет создать такой звук, которого аудитория ещё никогда не слышала. Roland JD-XA укомплектован динамической клавиатурой с функцией послекасания. Всего есть 49 клавиш.
